Tomić gold medalist in World Cup!

3 new national records for our team in Turkey!

This season already marked several good performances of our team, but last weekend 30th April-1st May in Gebze-Kocaeli, near Istanbul in Asian part of Turkey, at 6th Round of CMAS World Cup, we peaked an excellent result with one of our newest members:

Kristijan Tomić (1992) won a gold medal in 50bifins, stopping chronometers at 19"26, a time that last year in China, at World championship 2015 would have granted him the first place. Anyway this gold medal in a round of World Cup is the first ever of our team: Tomić set a milestone in our history. Here the video of his performance: link.

The day after he tried to improve his result, asking the judges to measure his first lap in 100bifins - he swam the first 50metres in 19"32, confirming the impressione of the day before. He closed slowly then in 52".

Beside him also Filip Strikinac (1993) swam 50bf and 100bf scoring very interesting times. 20"37 was his result in 50bf, and 46"09 in 100bf.  Here the video of his and Tomic's performance in 100bf: link.

On the female side, our female Senior Croatian record holder Dora Bassi (1993) did set again national records:
- 800fs, she corrected for the 4th time in less than a year this record, in Gebze she swam 7.28:08;
- 200fs, she performed a wonderful 1.36:06, which is the new Croatian best result and her previous record was 1.38:47;
- 400fs, she swam in 3.32:29, not far from her record 3.31:63.
